What an amazing place! We expected it to be special but it exceeded our expectations. L'Ostalet was perfect. A charming cottage, so well equipped and comfortable. And the garden areas are so beautiful. Our hosts, Will and Anna, whilst respecting our privacy, were so lovely and welcoming and readily available with local information.

We couldn't recommend more highly. The two gites have been lovingly restored - nicely decorated, comfortable spacious rooms, perfectly clean. The gardens are stunning, the views across to the Pyrenees are wonderful under big open skies, especially at dawn and sunset. Like us you will long to share and to return to this beautiful place.

We spent a fabulous week at Le Domaine de Loustalviel with Anna and Will who are such wonderful hosts. They gave us so many ideas of good restaurants and activities in the area. The cottage was perfect - swimming during the day, log fires in the evening and beautiful views.

We had a perfect week at Loustalviel! L’Ostalet was very well equipped with a lovely private garden space for outside dining. The heated pool is glorious. Anna and Will are the most welcoming hosts who truly could not have done more to ensure we were comfortable. We cannot wait to return!

We had a fantastic time - very peaceful location with clean, comfortable and well-equipped accommodation. Great views from the terrace and pool towards the Pyrenees. 20 minutes from the charming town of Mirepoix, 40 min from Carcassonne, an hour from walking in the Pyrenees and just over an hour to the Med.

The pool and surrounding area were immaculately clean… The extensive grounds are beautiful and we had a lovely, private outdoor eating/BBQ area with lovely views. Anna and Will were wonderful hosts, always on hand to help with anything we needed.

What a stunning place! The gite was super clean and stylish, and fully self contained with everything you need for a comfortable self-catered stay, with lots of lovely personal touches from wild flowers from the gardens, to fresh fluffy towels and comfortable bedding.
